There aren't many examples of iconic weapons in the history of cinema as the Walther PPK from the series of movies about the British Agent 007.

The Walther "PPK" pistol, as it was called in the movies, was in fact a Walther PP .380 ACP model (a full-size PPK version) and made its debut in the movie world with the premiere of the first film about the adventures of James Bond, entitled Dr. No, in 1962.

Probably some of us remember the scene in which Bond (played by the late Sean Connery) receives his Walther in place of the "damned" Beretta.

It is one of the two props used in the making of the films that will be auctioned in December this year in one of the US auction houses.

The estimated price for which the gun is to be auctioned off is between 150,000 and 200,000 USD. The buyer will receive a weapon deactivation certificate, a certificate of authenticity issued by the BAPTY London company – one of the largest suppliers of props-weapons for the film industry, and of course James Bond's Walther with serial number 19174A with the grips replaced during the production of the films that look like made by Pachmayr production.

Here's to you, Mr. Bond!
