The Foxtrot Mike company has presented the FM-15 223 model, a weapon of the AR15 type, although with many significant elements that differ from the standard models of this platform.

The first distinguishing feature of the FM-15 223 is the reloading method. We will not find the standard AR-15 charging handle here, that is located in the upper part of the upper receiver, because here it is located at the front part of the weapon - a solution very similar to the one known from the FN SCAR rifle series.

However, unlike its Belgian cousins, the FM-15 223 handle does not move during the firing cycles (it is the so-called non-reciprocating type), which means that the shooter does not have to worry about damage to his hand or a failure of the weapon in an event of a gripping the weapon inappropriately. However, one must remember that the handle should be pushed in while shooting and that one should not move it accidentally while firing. The handle can be naturally moved to the other side of the weapon, which makes it much easier for left-handed shooters to use it.

Another external feature that distinguishes the Foxtrot Mike rifle is the possibility of folding the stock to the right side. Folding stocks in the AR15 series are not a new feature, but in this case this procedure does not prevent shooting, feature known from the SIG Sauer MCX series.

However, unlike the SIG product, the FM-15 223 is a rifle that works in the Direct Impingement system, that is like a standard AR-15 models. By purchasing the FM-15 223, the shooter gets a DI rifle combination, with the possibility of folding the stock and firing in this mode.

The standard weapon is equipped with a handguard with an MLok interface, a 16-inch barrel and a .223 Wylde cartridge chamber allowing the weapon to be fired with .223 Rem and 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition. The weapons at the Brownells store costs $ 999.
