Glock - a synonym for a reliable polymer frame pistol. Will it also become a brand associated with watches? We will have to wait a while for the answer, because the first watch by Gaston Glock, Watch Global, is hitting the shelves.
The Glock timepiece has the form of an elegant classic solar powered watch with orange luminescent hands. The watch case is made of titanium with sapphire glass mounted on it. The case of the watch is decorated with delicate cuts reminiscent of those that can be found on the slides of the pistols of the legendary Austrian manufacturer.
Other features referring to the Glock pistols are the nDLC coating of the case and the black strap with a characteristic, rough edge, which we get in the set. The said strap is made of silicone and covered with an RTF texture, similar to that on the grips of Gen4 and Gen5 pistols.
The watch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM, which means that one can freely swim with it or snorkel (but not scuba dive). In addition to the solar power cell, inside the watch there is a 1.5 V backup battery with a capacity of 5 mAh. A full "charge" of the watch allows for continuous operation for 6 months.
The set, apart from the aforementioned straps and the watch itself, is completed with a nice looking, orange and black box with the manufacturer's logo.
The price of the new Glock Watch Global is $ 299.
