After the official announcement of the G&G Worldcup 2023 (G&G World Cup CQB Shooting Competition 2023) it's time for the qualifiers. While we received information about organized competitions abroad, there was no information about Poland. Therefore we asked the manufacturer and the organizer for additional information. It turns out that it was not entirely clear who would be responsible for this year's qualifiers. After a moment of uncertainty, we received information that the organizer of the G&G Armament World Cup 2023 Poland tournament had been selected. The qualifications will be handled by Airsoftzone (simultaneously responsible for the qualifying rounds in Austria and Switzerland) and GT Arena.
On August 27, to rounds qualifiers will be held in which the G&G MET targets will be used. All players will be on the same playing field with the replicas, batteries, BBs and other necessary things provided by Airsoftzone, just like the finals in Taipei, Taiwan. Players are only required to have their own protective glasses, be at least 18 on the day of the competition and have a document confirming Polish citizenship. They also must sign up for the competition and pay the entrance fee of 30 PLN (which also includes regular games at the GT Arena taking place on that day). The pool of entries is very limited - only 60 places.
The qualifications themselves will be held in teams of two. In the first round, teams will face 5x5 stationary targets. The goal is to hit all the highlighted squares in the shortest possible time. In the second round called G&G MET Search & Destroy, teams will have to be more dynamic. There will be an obstacle course to go through, on which G&G MET targets will be placed individually. Also in this case time, accuracy and perceptiveness will be decisive. The organizers will certainly try to diversify the track, as it has been done in the previous editions of the final.
