PCC replicas are becoming more and more popular in airsoft. This trend was noticed by the famous Austrian YouTuber and from August 16, new SSR 9 carbines are available at Novritsch's website. For lighter weight, the receiver is made of polymers (available in classic black, olive green or more extravagant pink), they have a widened PDW stock and CNC machined aluminum M-LOK handguard and a muzzle device in the form of a sound amplifier.
Unlike in most replicas, the magazine release button is placed only on the right side and not behind the magazine. Internal parts include 16:1 gears, a High Torque motor, an ETU system operated by a flat trigger, a rotary hop-up chamber with a Maple Leaf bucking and barrel, and a gearbox frame with a quick spring change system and rounded corners of the cylinder ports. Such a combination of parts is supposed to give about 1.5-1.65J of muzzle energy. A DSG (Dual Sector Gear) version with a 9:1 ratio and lower muzzle energy (0.4-0.5J or 0.8-1J) and a shorter handguard is also being prepared. The price of the new replica is €249 for the classic version and €269 for a pre-order DSG version.
