The Storm Airsoft company may be known mainly from its series of gas-powered grenades, but the manufacturer does not stop there. The first Storm PC1 R-Shot replica has just hit the stores. It is a bullpup sniper rifle platform using an original solution (the R-Shot System) based on manual air compression instead of the known solutions known from classic spring-powered or AEG replicas.
In addition, solutions have been introduced that allow changes in muzzle energy without the need to disassemble the replica. The piston of the replica has a series of three mounting holes for the charging lever. By changing the position of the lever on the piston, it is possible to gradually adjust the amount of air entering the replica.
Additionally, the whole thing is completely ambidextrous. The replica does not rely on springs neither for the power supply nor for the operation of the trigger, which connects a microswitch and an electromagnetic valve responsible for releasing te air from the piston. For this reason, it is necessary to use a 7.4 V or an 11.1 V battery. Inside there is a 6.05 mm x 460 mm inner barrel made by Silverback Airsoft, a VSR standard hop-up bucking , a TDC system chamber with 50 settings, internal elements made of anodized aluminum and polycarbonate.
The use of VSR standard magazines will certainly be appreciated. The replica is mostly manufactured in France, it has a receiver made of reinforced nylon and a barrel made of carbon fiber, which translates into a total weight of 1.6 kg. Available colors include Black, OD Green and FDE. The receiver design is quite unique and will certainly stand out among other replicas. There are two versions available, Standard and Deluxe, which includes additional elements such as a suppressor and a bag. Prices range from €522 for the Standard version, €532 for the version with a suppressor and €697 for the Deluxe version.
