Primary Arms Optics: new targeting optics (2024)

Primary Arms Optics is a Texas-based manufacturer of targeting optics that has gained a large group of supporters since starting its business in 2007. During the already concluded SHOT Show 2024, it was possible to see new products that will join its offer in the second quarter of this year.

The new products include the PLxC 1-8x24 SFP LPVO with the ACSS NOVA® reticle placed in the second focal plane and an illuminated aiming dot. This model is smaller and lighter than its FFP predecessor. The Japanese ED Glass optics (low dispersion glass) are responsible for the image quality. The product will be available in stores in two color versions: Black and Flat Dark Earth.

The second new LPVO in the company's offer is the already known SLx® 1-10x28 SFP model, which now also uses the ACSS NOVA® reticle in the second focal plane. It is a compact (for its class) LPVO scope with a 34 mm tube and a 28 mm lens, offering a wide zoom magnification range from 1x to 10x.

Another new product is the small GLx® 1x MicroPrism prism sight. According to the manufacturer, it is characterized by premium optics and almost unlimited eye relief. The device can be controlled via side buttons, which makes its housing slimmer and makes it easier to observe the surroundings. The product will be available in two variants differing in the color of the reticle illumination: green and red.

The offer will also include the GLx® MD-21s Micro Red Dot sight. It is powered by both a CR2032 battery and a high-performance solar panel. The device is able to independently switch between types of power supply depending on the weather. Additionally, after two minutes of inactivity, the sight goes into sleep mode and wakes up automatically when motion is detected, which further improves battery life. The control buttons are located on the left side of the housing. The product uses the popular Aimpoint T1/T2 standard mounts and will be available in two versions: with a 2 MOA aiming dot and with a more extensive ACSS CQB system, in which the user can select the displayed elements of an extended targeting reticle.

The latest innovation in the field of targeting optics is the SLx® MD-21 Micro Red Dot sight. Unlike the model described above, it is not equipped with a solar panel and the control buttons are located on its back. Apart from this, it retains the remaining features of the GLx® MD-21s Micro Red Dot model and is also to be available in the 2 MOA and ACSS CQB variants.

Primary Arms Optics also announced the introduction of new types of mounts to its offer, including one-piece mounts for riflescopes with a 30 mm and 34 mm tubes, the replacement Top Cap Reflex Mount enabling attachment of small red dot sights and the Reflex Offset Keeper for the SLx Rifle Scope Mount, as well as the 2.26” Red Dot Riser, which does not obscure the visibility of traditional iron sights in AR-15s.
