When a year ago the organizers of the Rat Race announced the fourth edition of their event after a several years hiatus, they received a very positive response from airsoft community interested in this widely recognized event.
In the 11-hour Rat Race IV more than 25 teams of 6 to 10 people took part, this meant... 25 sides of the conflict.
Each of them acted independently and was hostile towards the others. The final classification was determined by the points awarded for completing special tasks, dog tags taken from eliminated opponents, or from writing down codes in the field. In total, players could visit about 50 (!) locations prepared by the organizers.
Rat Race is not a Milsim game. Teams, apart from having "medics" in their ranks, can also use 10 respawns in the game area, which result in a very dynamic game.
This year, the organizers invite you to take part in the game on April 13. To celebrate the 5th edition of the event, it was decided to extend its duration to 19 hours and enrich the formula of this already extremely highly rated game. What's more, this time up to 36 teams can take part.
We would also like to inform you that WMASG.com is the patron of this year's Rat Race!
Registration for the competition is done in two categories: Veteran, which means starting the competition Friday after midnight and spending 19 hours in the field, or Rookie (as during the previous edition of the Race), which starts on Saturday morning (April 13, 2024) and lasts about 11 hours. Both categories will be held under the same rules, but with separate final classification.
The game area surrounding the Jeleniak Mikuliny Nature Reserve is diverse, crossed with irregular paths, watercourses, hills, swamps and other natural features. From the south it is enclosed by the Mała Panew river. When taking part in the Race and wanting to to achieve a good result, your legs will have to cover a lot of kilometers - the area is over 20 km^2!
According to the organizers, there are still a few places left on the list, and a lower entry fee applies throught the next week. We encourage you to take part! More details and rules of the game can be found at the event's Facebook page.
