Retro Arms continues to surprise us with an interesting approach to classic products. This time, a new V2 gearbox frame was created, specifically for the Dual Sector Gear (DSG) design. At first glance, it doesn't differ much from other products, but the manufacturer has made significant changes. To reduce stress on the piston guides, a series of bearings have been placed in the upper section.
The piston length has also been shortened by 20 mm, to make the best use of the operating range, which is significantly limited in DSG configurations. The materials from which the frame was made have not changed and it is still CNC machined EN AW 7075 T651 aluminum. The layout of parts has also been preserved, such as 8 mm bearings, or the layout of ports necessary for the installation of ETU systems such as Titan, Jefftron, Perun and others, an inspection port for AOE or quick spring replacement.
The new frame is now available for purchase at the manufacturer's store website. The price is 158.68 EUR.
