Next weekend (November 23-24) the IAPS European Championship or Dutch Open 2024 will take place. This is a dynamic Action Air shooting competition where competitors have to go through 24 different tracks, where they shoot at paper and metal targets with both both points and time taken into consideration. Traditionally, it will be held in the Netherlands (Geldermalsen) in the NABV hall. Check out last year's report:
IAPS stands for International Airsoft Practical Shooting, which is different from the more commonly associated IPSC - International Practical Shooting Confederation. However, the rules are almost identical to the IPSC rules, which means that every dynamic shooter will be familiar with the rules and will feel at home.
The competitions themselves have a long-standing tradition and have always been held on a grand scale, as evidenced by the almost annual attendance of over 100 competitors. This year, the Polish team will be represented by 5 people:
Mateusz “Cichy” Cichecki - Open Division. Winner of 2022 and 2023
Roch Piekarski - Open Division. 2022 Junior Open Medalist of the Year
Jędrzej Sztandera - Standard Division. Vice-champion of 2022 Standard Division
Rafał Tomanek - Production Division. Winner of the 2019 Classic
Piotr Paluszyński - Standard Division. Start as a debutant
We keep our fingers crossed for our team and encourage you to follow the competition. You will be able to see the live coverage on the Instagram channel these days: cichyipsc
