The New Year is already behind us, so it’s time for the first airsoft news of 2025. This time, we’ll be looking at a conversion kit for Tokyo Marui replicas. This Japanese manufacturer is well known to everyone. Conversion kits for replicas of this compnany are certainly not a new thing, but the LCP, LCP II, Bodyguard 380, and Curve Compact Carry pistols are definitely not the most popular choices in this regard. That’s why the conversion kit of the American improvised pistol FP-45 Liberator is particularly interesting.
The single-shot improvised design, made of stamped metal, may not have decided the outcome of the World War II, but it can be an interesting addition to a collection or a piece for historical outfit. The conversion itself is made using 3D printing and consists of a complete frame, into which the internal components of a replica are inserted.
At the moment, the conversion’s creator, UKAs_craft user on the X/Twitter platform, has confirmed compatibility with the Curve Compact Carry and LCP models. Standard magazines are still used (only the magazine floor plate needs to be changed), suggesting the same performance as the coverted replica. The conversion kit itself is not yet available as a finished product or 3D files for self-printing, but its release is planned for mid-January 2025, priced at 9,600 yen (around 60 EUR) for a complete kit.
