After the November presentation of the new replica of the M1851 Navy revolver from Tokyo Marui (Tokyo Marui Festival and its news products), the manufacturer revealed the release date and more details. The replica itself was created around Tokyo Marui's proprietary system, where no power source is required other than manually cocking a spring. This results in performance that falls short of current standards, but the replica is also the first model in this series with an adjustable hop-up system.
In addition, the replica is to offer realistic handling and reproduction of operation from separate loading of BBs and caps (which unfortunately are only an aesthetic addition) to the operation of the hammer which also has the pre-cocking position.
The disassembly of the replica itself is also a good reproduction of the original. Tokyo Marui clearly focused on materials, as metal was used for its construction, from which the main frame of the replica was made.
Additionally, the cylinder is decorated with a laser engraving depicting the Battle of Campeche, one of the skirmishes during the 19th century Tex-Mex War.
The M1851 Navy replica revolver is set to go on sale on January 23. The announced price for a replica with one cylinder and 8 caps is 24,800 yen (approx. 152 EUR) and an additional cylinder coast 7,800 yen (approx. 48 EUR).
