A gas-powered replica of the MP2A1 submachinegun (widely known as the UZI, an Israeli design by Gal Uziel) from NorthEast Airsoft has been on the market for several years now. However, the manufacturer does not limit itself to the full-size, classic version and has also prepared replicas of a more compact model, the UZI Mini, which we had the opportunity to see at last year’s MOA 2024 trade show (UZI Mini from NorthEast Airsoft coming in January).
The pre-order for the replica has started with a slight delay, with the announced shipping of pre-orders at the end of February. The replica will visually differ with a shorter design, a new folding stock (replacing the folding stock of the full-size version), and a shorter magazine (25-round in the original, with 32 BBs in the replica). The replica also features full Israeli markings.
The materials used to make the replica are mainly steel, and also polymers, and aluminum alloys.
In the new replica, we will get a shorter barrel (180 mm vs 235 mm), a lighter construction (2.7 kg vs 3.18 kg), and factory adaptation for use with a CO2 magazine included with the replica. Standard MP2A1 CO2 and Green Gas magazines can still be used. The pre-order price for the new NorthEast Airsoft UZI MINI replica is around 410 EUR at one of the Asian stores.
