One of many German brands with a long tradition of making pistols is Walther. From the famous P38 models to the PPK used by agent 007, one of the latest designs from Walther is the PDP (Performance Duty Pistol) Compact 4". The official licensed replica of this pistol was announced by Umarex in cooperation with the Taiwanese manufacturer Vega Force Company.
The Walther PDP Compact 4" replica has an aluminum slide with grooves in the front and rear, original manufacturer's markings, classic iron sights and an optics mount in 4 standards (Trijicon, C-More, Leupold, Vortex).
It does not have the loaded chamber indicator known from the P99 or PPQ models and the magazine release mechanism in the form of a lever known from the first generation of the PPQ model. The pistol's frame is made of polymers and offers an ambidextrous slide stop lever, an underbarrel rail, a replaceable spur and an aggressive texture over the entire surface.
The replica itself is based on an already developed standard, which allows the use of Walther PPQM2 generation2 replica magazines and derivatives (NPA) manufactured by Vega Force Company. The replica also features the Guide Hop adjustment system, but this is not a tool-free option. The replica comes with a dedicated adjustment key.
The replica will reach the Polish distributor at an unspecified time. No specific date or price has been given.
