In accordance with the Regulation of the Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration of 29 May 2026, published on 3 June 2026 in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland under item 725, a temporary ban on carrying or transporting firearms in an unloaded condition will be in effect from 24 to 26 June 2026.
The ban has been introduced in connection with the 5th edition of the Ukraine Recovery Conference taking place in the city of Gdańsk from 24 to 26 June 2026, and the need to ensure an appropriate level of security for its participants.
According to a statement published on the Polish Police website, the ban applies to persons possessing firearms in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 21 May 1999 on Weapons and Ammunition (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 485, as amended), excluding persons who possess firearms on the basis of a firearms certificate issued under separate regulations.
