Strike Industries surprised the shooting community in 2024 by unveiling its modernization kit for the iconic FN Herstal P90 personal defense weapon (A New Take on the P90 by Strike Industries). It did not take long for airsoft manufacturers to follow suit with replica versions of the upgraded design. WE-Tech was the first to introduce its licensed gas blowback replica, based on its existing P90 platform. We also had the opportunity to examine the replica firsthand on several occasions during major airsoft trade shows, including IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg.

For players looking for a more affordable option, King Arms, in cooperation with Evike Manufacturing Group (EMG), has also introduced an electric version of the replica. Internally, it features a standard Version 6 gearbox equipped with 9 mm bearings, a quick-change spring system, and the E-Shooter Kestrel ETU. Out of the box, the replica delivers a muzzle velocity of approximately 360–380 FPS. It also retains the P90's distinctive fire selector and two-stage trigger system, allowing the shooter to fire single shots while remaining in full-auto mode by partially pulling the trigger.

Buyers can choose between a version equipped with a standard neodymium motor or a more advanced brushless motor. At present, the brushless option is available only with the shorter stock configuration.

The longer-stock version is currently offered exclusively with the standard neodymium motor. Both stock configurations are available in two color options: Black and Tan.

An even more affordable Sportline version is also planned. This model replaces the metal upper receiver with a polymer construction, while the aluminum handguard has likewise been substituted with a polymer alternative to further reduce production costs. The Sportline version can also be identified by its differently shaped top rail. Despite these external changes, the internal components remain identical to those found in the standard model.

It is worth noting that all of the variants mentioned above are either already available or open for pre-order through the American retailer Evike. The retailer's in-house brand, EMG (Evike Manufacturing Group), is responsible for the licensing partnership with Strike Industries, making these officially licensed replicas possible. According to the current listings, the WE-Tech gas blowback model (priced at 499 USD) and the brushless AEG version (priced at 449 USD) are expected to become available in September 2026. The standard AEG equipped with a neodymium motor is already available for 349 USD in both the short- and long-stock configurations. The most affordable option, the Sportline model, is available for pre-order at just 180 USD, with availability also scheduled for September 2026.
