One of the most common drawbacks of gas powered conversion kits for AEGs is the external gas tank that powers HPA engines. This requires carrying an additional pouch for the tank and determining there to put the hose so it won't obstruct the use of a replica. The manufacturer has presented a video showing how the PR-15 GEN 2 replica works with the gas tank installed in the butt stock tube.
This solution is slightly different than the one proposed not so long ago by Raven, which decided to put a 12g CO2 capsule in the tube. In the PolarStar's product the whole tank, filled with gas, is unscrewed and it will be available in different sizes to meet users; preferences. A longer tank will no allow to use the initial butt stock positions but it is offset by a bigger amount of gas in the container which will allow to fire more shots. It is also worth noting that when breaking open the PR-15 GEN 2 the gas flow from the tank is automatically cut off.
The release of the replica is planned for this year. We don't know its price yet. What we do know is that a number of configurations will be available for purchase at launch.
