After Ares, LCT Airsoft is another company that introduces SLIM type motors. In a nutshell, these motors have a modified housing, thanks to which they are narrower than those that have been used for years. This allows AEG replicas to use pistol grips with dimensions similar to those of real steel versions. The initial designer and manufacturer of SLIM type motors was the Japanese company SYSTEMA, which used similarly designed motors in the PTW (Personal Training Weapon) series carbines.
This is the Systema KUMI motor for PTW replicas:
Quite recently, a motor version dedicated to ordinary replicas was introduced by Ares - simultaneously for the AR-15 / Amoeba and AK (and only these) carbines.
It is worth remembering about the purpose of the motors, because their application requires installation of a dedicated pistol grip. For this reason, owners of other replicas must wait patiently. In Poland, the Ares motor and grip sets are available at Gunfire.com, but only for the Amoeba / AR-15 replica. There are no AK sets left - they were sold out.
Today, LCT Airsoft announced that in the near future it will be selling its own SLIM type motors, but only for AK replicas.
At the moment, there are no information about an AR-15 sets, although LCT produces such replicas.
In the photo published on Facebook, there two variants of motors are shown: high-speed (SPEED) and increased torque (TORQUE), both in a set with a black polymer pistol grip. However, in a short exchange of opinions under the post it was revealed that LCT will also consider manufacturing pistol grips in other colors (the posts refer to the bakelite colour version).
