The Dutch army decided to introduce a new camouflage called Netherlands Fractal Pattern (NFP).
After a series of intensive tests, it was decided to introduce 4 versions of camouflage:
NFP-Green intended for use in woodland and urbanized areas of eastern and western Europe
NFP-Tan for use in desert terrain, steppe, savanna
NFP-Navy for crews of warships, development is still underway
NFP Arctic considered as equipment for soldiers operating in winter and in mountain terrain
At the same time, the universal variant of the camouflage, called NFP-Multitone, was developed, which contains selected colors from the NFP-Green and NFP-Tan variants.
This camouflage offers a greater color contrast and can be used in forest and desert terrain. The pattern is to be used for the production of equipment such as pouches, backpacks or tarps.
