A ladder, as part of the equipment of SWAT units or other whose task is to penetrate buildings, has been used for a long time. The Helixtatcial company offers a lighter and more versatile tactical ladder called the REBS Carbon Multi Ladder (CML).
REBS Carbon Multi Ladder is a rigid, modular and multifunctional ladder system with a double rail. The system uses modular 90 cm long sections that can be connected to form a ladder, a stretcher or a bridge. The CML can be used in many configurations, such as hanging from the attachment point using a hook or hooks, leaning against a wall, filling a gap between buildings/containers or as a stiff stretcher with handles and harness that securely holds a victim.
The CML system is made of carbon fiber for a combination of excellent stiffness and lightness. The design was developed based on the same advanced carbon molding techniques that are used to produce modern bicycle frames and optimizes the properties of carbon fiber to create a very strong frame in which each 90 cm long section is formed in one piece to minimize the amount of joints and weak spots.
The ladder rungs are wide enough to easily put two feet on a rung, and all surfaces have a hard coating with a high friction coefficient to make them as safe as possible to use.
