Pop culture has long known the phenomenon of penetration of military "fashion" into civilian life. Starting from the legendary M65 jackets and trousers, military boots or our native army backpacks and ending with Vans Defcon shoes in Multicam Tropic camouflage, the civilian world knows and likes military style.
This also works in the opposite direction, when the military adapts solutions from civilian outdoor clothing (widespread use of trekking shoes) or sport shooting (e.g. collimators on pistols) to their needs.
This time, NIKE took to tan inspiration from a popular part of equipment of modern warriors, the so-called chest rig.
The latest Nike x MMW Chest Rig is an accessory clearly modeled after the popular army trend of the so-called micro chest rig - a mini vest that allows you to carry only the necessary equipment or ammunition.
The Nike model is offered in the University Red and is able to hold keys, a smartphone, headphones etc. It is made from a mixture of 82% nylon, 18% spandex, and the back has laser-cut holes to ensure better breathability.
Chest rig is available in sizes M, L and XL. The price is 120 USD.
Nike also offers a larger model of a "civilian" chest rig
