Since around 2016, the Czech Army successively introduces the CZ BREN 2 automatic rifles modernized by Česká Zbrojovka (CZUB).
As we have learned, the Czechs signed a contract for a larger than before batch of BREN 2 rifles and grenade launchers. CZUB will supply 16,000 modular CZ BREN 2 assault rifles, 21,000 CZ P-10 pistols and 1,600 CZ 805 G1 grenade launchers. The contract's value is 2.35 billion CZK (approximately 111 million USD).
The contract also includes about 100 units of PDW CZ Scorpion submachine guns, which are likely to be used in personnel protection tasks.
