Polish Border Guard has been operating since 1991.
Its ancestor was the Border Protection Corps, a service created in the interwar period. Today, Border Guard officers proudly continue the BPC tradition. A total of 14,400 people serve in its ranks. The structure consists of 11 units.
These are: the General Headquarters, the Office of Internal Affairs and nine branches (Warmian-Masurian, Podlaski, Nadbużański, Bieszczadzki, Karpacki, Śląski, Nadodrzański, Morski, and Nadwiślański).
On the occasion of the anniversary, KGSG has prepared a video showing, at least in part, the wide range of formation's activities. The video is available here.
