The Colt Canada C20 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for the 7.62 NATO round, created as a result of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) demand for a medium-range sniper rifle.
The C20 rifle is characterized by, among other things, a monolithic assembly of the receiver and the handguard which, unlike the classic AR15-based designs, is a single piece element and provides a better platform for mounting optics.
The rifle achieved an average spread of 0.66 MOA measured for 144 five-shot trials. 175gr Federal Gold Medal Match ammunition was used during testing and the first shots were fired from the so-called "cold barrel" that also had a silencer attached.
Deliveries of the new Colt Canada C20 are expected to end in the first half of 2021.
