For us Europeans, the release of Heckler und Koch products does not arise such great emotions as among the shooters over the Atlantic. In the USA, German products are more expensive than the standard AR15 designs - even the medium and high-end ones and, compared to European distribution, they are available much less often. Nevertheless, in recent months the German manufacturer has decided to spoil the American shooter a bit by introducing a full-size version of the legendary MP5 submachine gun to the civilian market.

Another treat for the Americans is the re-introduction to the civil market of the SL8 rifle, i.e. the civil, heavily modified version of the G36 rifle.

The rifle was introduced into the market in 1998, with a characteristic fixed stock with a thumb hole and limiting, due to American law, the possibility of feeding the weapon only from single-stack magazines with a capacity of 10 rounds. Distribution was stopped in 2010.

However, the company officials have now decided to redistribute the rifle. Will it arouse such interest as the MP5, time will tell.

Fortunately, European shooters do not have similar problems - HK weapons, including the MR223 (HK416), HK243 (G36) and MR308 (G28/HK417) sports rifles, are readily available, although, like in the USA, they are not the cheap.
