The latest optical sight, which is to be the successor to the legendary ACOG in the USMC, will soon be in the hands of civilians.
Variable Combat Optical Gunsight (VCOG) 1-8×28 civilian version differs only slightly from the military model, mainly in terms of company markings on the sight housing. In addition to these small details, it is still an armored sight from the Trijicon brand (tested in accordance with the MIL-STD-810G protocol), has the 1-8 magnification and a reticle in the foreground (an informal standard in "tactical" scopes) calibrated in MRAD which makes the VCOG a perfect balance between a sight for CQB and shooting at medium ranges.
The housing of the scope is made of 7075-T6 aluminum and it is factory-equipped with an excellent quality QD Larue Tactical LT799 mount. The backlight of the reticle is powered by one AA battery (up to 633 hours of work on the brightness setting of 6), and the reticle itself has 11 brightness settings: 8 for daytime, 2 for night vision and one "super bright".
The VCOG is water resistant up to 20 meters. The price of the VCOG 1-8 SCO is $ 3,150.00, and the set also includes dedicated Tenebraex eyepiece and lens caps.
