Is it possible to reinvent the wheel? In the case of tactical gear, this question can be asked many times. When heavy vests covered with MOLLE straps were introduced, most of the older generation of WMASG users were delighted.
After that, the SPEAR BALCS or CIRAS vests got smaller, became light and even underwent laser treatment.
Will a similar fate await shooting belts?
The founders of the Raven Belt company found that the belts available on the market did not meet their requirements for flexibility and ease of configuration and decided to release a belt called the Raven Belt.
The belt is made of elastomer and looks a bit like (subjective opinion of the writer) a large... watch strap. Nevertheless, in the opinion of the creators of the belt, it is a stable platform for the equipment carried, the arrangement of which can be quickly changed. This is done by means of stabilizing inserts (keepers), which are placed in the belt eyelets, ensuring the stabilization of pouches and holsters.
The quick removal of the aforementioned insert enables the load to be moved quickly when needed. At the moment, no technical specification of the product has been given, but from the available photo material, it can be concluded that the belt will be able to use a wide range of hard pouches dedicated to wearing on duty belts and possibly soft ones with the MOLLE system. It is also interesting that despite the proposed four sizes of belts (S-XL, 90-135 cm), the manufacturer encourages to cut the belt to size is need be.
The probable price of the product was not provided either. However, we know that it will be available on May 1, 2022.
