On the market of external parts for AK replicas, we can find a wide range of various accessories. However, usually these are accessories with a dedicated RIS, Key-Mod or M-Lok rail system which contributes to an increase in weight (in the case of better made aluminum or steel parts). For some, the looks of such parts is also debatable (and here we will remind you of the controversial design from Belarus about which we wrote: "New" Belarusian small arms).
The company KIZUNA WORKS brings a breath of freshness with its own idea of handguards for the AK. Escape from Tarkov players will definitely recognize this type of handguard.
At the moment, they offer models intended only for the AKM/AK74 and AK105 replicas. The handguards themselves have a hexagonal mounting system. They are about 350 mm and 260 mm long, and due to the fact that they are made of T6061 aluminum with the use of CNC, their weight is just over 210 grams for the AKM/AK74 version and 125 grams for the AK-105 replicas.
Compared to other handguards (polymer or metal) of a similar length, which weigh two or three times more, which can be felt during longer games. The manufacturer declares that the product fits both AEG replicas by LCT Airsoft, E&L, BOLT and gas powered replicas by GHK. They aren't available from official distributors yet, but the estimated price is around € 180 and € 150.
Another product for the AK are quite unique muzzle devices. Equipped with a 24mm clockwise thread, made of steel (weighing about 280 grams), they can certainly provide an interesting finish.
The mounting on optics for the SVD, made of aluminum, can be considered interesting.
There are also some less exciting parts, like the inner barrels or the announced pistol parts, which are currently in development and coming next week. All products can be found at https://www.kizunaworks.com.tw and announcements and production steps can be seen via FANPAGE KIZUNA WORKS.
