Not so long ago, we wrote about a new line of AR15 carbines, made by a Polish brand MILICON .
, which are becoming more and more popular in Poland (is the AK a thing of the past?).
The first carbine models were tested, among others, by a US Sheriff, our compatriot, law enforcement officer in Nevada.
The currently available models of the Milicon AR 15: Alpha, Bravo and Charlie are joined by a slightly more budget version (the previous models cost around 2000 EUR) named Spartan.
The new gun has an 11.5 inch long barrel with a 1:7 twist rate and Government profile. The material from which it is made is 4150 CMV chrome-vanadium steel, and the production technology is the so-called "Button rifling". According to the manufacturer, the twist rate of the barrel thread is to ensure optimal "working conditions" for ammunition with both light and heavy bullets. The unwritten standard of the AR15 is 55 or 62gr. ammunition. In addition, the carbine is equipped with a with a carbine length Stoner (DI) system. The upper receiver is made from forged aluminum. It is anodized externally to Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 "Hard Coat" specifications.
The lower receiver is also made from forged aluminum. Its features include a two-sided safety/selector switch and the Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 "Hard Coat".
The bolt carrier made of 8620 steel, the bolt is made of 9310 steel and gas key made of 4140 steel and it is black. It is also worth adding that the process itself makes the first .05 mm of the material twice as hard as the steel itself.
Inside is the standard MilSpec trigger.
The accessories the Spartan is equipped with are the M-lok handguard, the Magpul MOE stock, the Pmag magazine also made by Magpul, a standard pistol grip, and a Bird Cage (A2) flash hider with a standard AR 15 thread, i.e. 1/2-28.
The price for a new Milicon product is 1300 EUR.
The weapon is available at the Milicon store and the manufacturer's partners, i.e. Strzelnica RP, and 4gun.pl
It is worth mentioning that Milicon rifles have not received negative reviews so far and seem to be a good alternative to other AR15 products branded by Polish companies.
