As the market does not like void and human creativity knows no bounds, a project of an addition to the FAST Micro mount family by Unity has appeared.

It is a direct competitor to the Hydra Mount by the GBRS Group where, however, instead of buying another mount, the SKIFF model by HRF Concepts offers the option of attaching an arm for mounting accessories from UNITY.

Compared to the competitor's mount, the kit with the SKIFF model seems to be shorter, although it has a shorter bolt spacing. The materials from which the mounts were made are also different (aluminum 6061 T6 in the case of the Hydra and aluminum 7075 T6 in the case of the SKIFF) as well as the coating with which they were secured (anodizing and Cerakote). The new product from HRF Concepts is available now for 150 USD.
