Safariland®, a cult manufacturer of high-quality tactical equipment, has introduced a new family of holsters - Solis™.
The Solis™ ALS® Concealment OWB Holster is an external, low-profile holster designed for concealed carrying of sub-compact pistols. The new product was created based on feedback from Safariland customers and in response to their needs. Despite its lower profile, it provides the same ergonomics of use as the manufacturer's other OWB (Outside the Waistband) holsters equipped with ALS® (Automatic Locking System).
The ALS® system is an intuitive lever that locks against the case ejection port, which locks the pistol in the holster. The system is unlocked by pushing the latch with a thumb while drawing the weapon.
Solis™ is an open-top product with a barrel hole for easy cleaning of the holster. This also allows it to be used with weapons equipped with threads for mounting a muzzle device. In order to enable quick drawing of a pistol, the Safariland SLS (Self Locking System) has not been used. The product is made of a durable and water-resistant variety of SafariSeven™ nylon.
The new holster is available in many variants that allow to carry a pistol without accessories, as well as one with a compact reflex sight (with a profile similar to Sig Sauer Romeo Zero) and a small flashlight (e.g. Streamlight TLR-7 Sub, Surefire XSC-A or Nightstick TCM-5B).
At the moment, Solis™ holsters are available for Glock 43/43X/ 48 and Sig Sauer P365/P365XL pistols. Depending on the configuration, their suggested prices range from $70 to $85.
