The EXPS2 is a compact holographic sight from EOTECH, which gained its popularity through, among other things, buttons moved to the side of the housing thus facilitating the use of the device together with a magnifying.
EOTECH, in cooperation with the OpticsPlanet store, have released an exclusive model of this sight called the EXPS2-DCR. It is equipped with the new Danger Close Reticle.
The DCR is designed for quick target acquisition. It consists of two semi-circles on the sides with a 1 MOA dot located in the center, which is to facilitate precise shooting at a greater distance. Additionally, there is a conspicuous chevron at the bottom of the reticle. When used with an AR-15 platform, this symbol should in most cases indicate the bullet impact point at a distance of 7 yards (6.4 m).
In addition to the name of the product itself, the nature and purpose of the new reticle may also suggest the absence of the upper part of the circle, which the users of EOTECH holographic sights used when estimating the distance to a target at longer ranges.
The EOTECH EXPS2-DCR was released on the market as the OPMOD™ (OpticsPlanet Modification), which means that it is currently sold only by the aforementioned OpticsPlanet store. The product is priced at $669.99.
