The American manufacturer - LaRue Tactical - has introduced to its offer an interesting mount designed for short carbines from the AR-15 family which have an integrated transport handle and a fixed A2 type front sight. Weapons of this design date back to the times of the Vietnam War and are poorly adapted to the use of accessories and mounts popular today.
The LaRue AccARizer Rail is a full-length mounting solution compliant with the Picatinny standard, made of high-quality aluminum and weighing approximately 230 grams. It is mounted to the transport handle and front sight of the carbine in a way that does not require irreversible changes to the weapon.
Although the use of the new solution obviously results in a higher sight line, in return it allows for the installation of not only of the optical sights, but also of a tactical flashlight, a lighting and aiming module or other accessories. If the Picatinny rail itself does not provide sufficient functionality, the users also have M-LOK slots on the sides at their disposal.
The LaRue AccARizer Rail system is available in black and UDE and is priced at $99. The buyer also receives low-profile, 1911 style iron sights, which facilitate quick target acquisition when no other accessories are mounted on the top rail.
