During the ongoing SHOT Show 2024, Nightforce, a manufacturer known for creating the highest quality observation and targeting optics, has presented an advanced "Configurable Field Spotting Scope" (CFS):6-36x50mm F1.
This product was designed for practical use in demanding terrain, and emphasizes aspects such as optimized ergonomics of use and the ability to expand it to meet the preferences of the most demanding users. All of this is achieved while maintaining high image quality and durability for which Nightforce optics are famous.
The CFS 6-36x50mm F1 spotting scope uses many interesting and useful solutions. The buyer can choose from various available reticles: MIL-XTs™, MOA-XTs™ and the illuminated Horus TREMOR4™. All of them are located in the first focal plane, which makes it much easier to take measurements regardless of the magnification level used. A wide magnification range (6-36x) allows to appropriately adjust the view, focusing either on details and precision, or a wide field of view reaching up to 12.4 m @ 100 m. The eye relief of 50 mm improves the comfort of observations.
The new product from Nightforce is equipped with numerous sockets and mounting types, allowing the expansion of the platform and addition of equipment elements useful in the field. The Spotting Scope Accessory Cage helps with this, as well as the Picatinny rail along with M-LOK® slots and ¼-20 sockets (facilitating the use of e.g. LRF modules, red dot sights, ballistic computers, etc.), and Spotting Scope Rail Accessory Platform (s-RAP), an accessory based on a long Picatinny rail, enabling mounting of night vision and thermal imaging devices along the main optical axis, both at the front and the rear.
It is worth mentioning the compact construction of the CFS 6-36x50mm F1 spotting scope. Its length is 358 mm, the diameter of the eyepiece is 52 mm, and the diameter of the lens is 65 mm. The weight of the product (without accessories) is only 955 grams. It should become available in the coming days, and prices for the device in the basic version should begin at 2,950 USD.
In Poland, the distributor of Nightforce products is the Hubertus store Pro Hunting - take a look at its offer.
