During SHOT Show 2024, PARD has presented the multifunctional Sphinx thermal imager at its stand. Although in its default configuration it is a hand-held camera with an external display, it is also adapted to be mounted on a weapon.
The use of an external display instead of a traditional viewfinder, although being a much less discreet solution, in selected situations may have a positive impact on the comfort of observations, allowing for better awareness of the surroundings or enabling the use of thermal imaging, e.g. on a side mounting rail, without the need to forego the basic sights.
The PARD Sphinx presented at the fair is marked as TB31-35LRF. It is equipped with a thermal sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels, an integrated laser rangefinder, a video recorder and has many other useful functions that the user can use. Currently, this product is available in pre-order in some foreign stores, and the price shown there is close to 3,000 USD.
