During SHOT Show 2024, ATN has announced the introduction of numerous new observation and targeting devices in its offer. We have already had the opportunity to write about most of them (TN digital observation devices: X-Spotter 5 & Binox 5 and ATN monoculars: Blaze Hunter & Blaze Trek). New products also include thermal imaging clip-on devices from the new Tico LTV series and ThOR LTV 256 sights.
The Tico LTV is a refreshed line of Tico LT clip-on devices introduced a few years ago. They allow to quickly change a classic scope into thermal imager. The announced models feature, among other things: improved design and new sensors. The range also includes variants that differ in the optics used. In the case of the flagship product, the resolution is 640x480 pixels and with a 50 mm lens.
Although the technical specifications of the Tico LTV line products available in the manufacturer's new catalog are visible below, its analysis allows us to assume that it contains errors. We recommend that people interested in purchasing them verify the information provided when the devices are officially available in stores.
The ThOR LTV series of thermal imaging sights is still being developed. This time it has been enriched with products using a sensor with a resolution of 256x192 (12 μm). The ATN ThOR LTV 256 will be available in four variants differing in the size of the lens, which will give basic optical magnification of 1.5x, 2x, 3x or 4x, as well as different values when it comes to he field of view and DRI (detection, recognition, identification ranges).
ATN ThOR products intended for the European market are marked as ATN Mars.
