The IWA 2024 fair is almost behind us and it's time for the first news. We start with a visit to the G&G Armament stand, which caused quite a commotion with its new products. One of them is the latest line of STP 45 replicas.
G&G Armament, listening to players' input, has constructed a replica of the HiCapa pistol, partly made in the popular Tokyo Marui standard. According to the manufacturer, the only dedicated parts in the proprietary standard are the nozzle assembly and the grip safety. However, there is also room for innovation.
The new hop-up chamber combines proven parts of the VSR standard with an adjustment offering up to 39 positions, has a clear click, the ability to spin BBs weighing over 0.4 g, and is easily adjusted with a key without the need to disassemble the replica. The grip has a trigger mechanism with the possibility of adjustment. The key for adjusting the hop-up system and the trigger is placed in the return spring guide.
The whole thing has a look and functionality inspired by Staccato guns. The slide has a texture on its entire surface, ports at the front and will be additionally covered with a layer of Cerakote.
The replica will be equipped with a front sight with a fiber optic insert and a rear sight. There is also the possibility of mounting optics on the slide thanks to the mount made in the RMR standard.
The replicas will be available in PRO versions with a slides length of 7.4 inches, 8 inches (black and two-tone version with a gray slide) and 8.7 inches. Standard version will have a choice between of black, Macaron Blue and Dst colors.
More demanding players may be interested in the Competition series, with a changed grip line, more finger grooves and a different slide design. The new replicas come packed with two magazines with standard capacity. Additionally, standard Green Gas and CO2 magazines with a capacity of 30 BBs, and extended ones holding 50 BBs will be available. Here, G&G Armament also surprised everyone by lowering the weight of the regular magazine to 175.1 g, which, considering the standard weight of 320 g, is almost a half lower.
