Is it possible to build extremely different versions using one replica as the base? Absolutely, as evidenced by the Action Army AAP01, G&G Armament Piranya and other products. However, Vorsk, the manufacturer of gas-powered replicas, went a step further and created different replicas around the same magazine.
The VMP-2 replica, which premiered during this year's IWA Outdoor 2024, offers a wide range of possibilities while using VMP-1 magazines. Replicas resembling the popular Ruger 10/22 rifles will be available in 3 variants differing in their capabilities and performance.
Each model is to share internal parts, allowing to freely replace trigger mechanisms allowing for different firing modes. The operation of the replica is based on the Open Bolt principle, a hop-up with a TDC chamber, a 6.03 mm VSR standard inner barrel. The receivers of the replicas are made of polymers with steel parts.
All manipulators are double-sided and an additional visual element is the use of 1911 grips.
The VMP-2M assault variant offers performance around 330 fps of muzzle velocity, a shorter barrel and an M-LOK handguard or an adjustable stock in GBB standard.
The Recce and DMR versions will have better performance, having 450 fps and will have single fire mode only. They differ in the length of the barrel and the handguard, where the DMR version will have a fixed stock, a longer barrel and handguard.
The first batch of replicas will be powered by Green Gas, but CO2 magazines are already being prepared. The announced availability is around the 3rd quarter of 2024 and the expected prices are 280EUR for the VMP-2M (330 fps), 345EUR for the VMP-2D “DMR” and 365 EUR for the VMP-2MD “Recce” version.
