Silverback Airsoft is constantly striving to improve its AEG replicas of the MDRX and Micron bullpup carbines. In the past, we already saw the first "update" campaign (The MDRX update package from Silverback Airsoft) which involved the replacement of a significant number of components. This year, another such campaign has appeared, offering changes to currently owned replicas. The part being replaced with a new one is the control unit, created in cooperation with T238. The new MDRX V3 standard, like before, is to be offered for free to owners of first and second generation replicas (in the latter case, only the ETU will be replaced). The new ETU will be recognizable by its yellow color. The changes introduced to the new unit include not only fixing problems, but also introducing features such as the ability to program the firing modes (burst, binary trigger), rate of fire reduction, pre-cocking, active brake, DMR cooldown, battery protection and safety measures against system overheating. There was also an announcement of the MDRX replicas in a variant with a 16-inch barrel and the Micron in a variant with a 10.5-inch barrel.
