One of the new products presented by SureFire shown at SHOT Show 2025 was a new compact flashlight model designed for mounting on handguns - the SureFire XC3.
The flashlight is made of anodized aluminum, known for its high quality and durability. It is equipped with a dual-sided switch operating in both temporary and constant modes, as well as a universal mount compatible with many handgun models. The entire unit is 66 mm in length, weighs 75 grams (including the battery), and its footprint is based on the TLR7 standard, which should allow for its use with a wide range of popular holsters.
The new product generates a light output of 550 lumens with a beam intensity reaching 7200 candelas. While these are not high-end specs by today's standards, they provide a long runtime of approximately 105 minutes on a single CR123A battery. The power source can be replaced without removing the flashlight from the mounting rail, and there is also an option to secure the flashlight to prevent accidental activation.
The SureFire XC3 is protected against water in the high IPX7 standard. This USA-made flashlight is priced at 299 USD. Will the new product be warmly welcomed on the market? Due to its features, it will certainly face direct comparisons to the highly popular TLR-7 series from Streamlight.
