The Well PRO brand has taken airsoft players by storm, starting with a budget AEG replica of the Russian PPK-20 submachine gun. Over time, they have introduced new metal replicas to the market, and then gas-powered variants. Also at this year's IWA 2025 trade fair, they showcased quite an interesting range of replicas, including the first gas-powered replica of the AK-12M1, which will soon hit the stores.
However, we will start with the PP-19/PPK-20 platform, i.e. a family of Russian submachine guns. The more classic PP-19 (WE12 GM) and the modernized PPK-20 (WE12 GM) variant are already in stores.

The replicas are feed from dedicated magazines available in the Green Gas (made of metal) and CO2 variants with a polymer outer casing. Inside, we find a trigger mechanism made of cast ZnAl, a return spring with a two-part guide and a buffer, which makes it is possible to have a Full Travel bolt carrier similar to the original firearm. The reproduction of the bolt carrier can also be considered quite successful here.

The bigger brothers in the form of AK-12 and AK-12K replicas (WE09-1 and WE09-2) in modernizated M1 variants also came to the fair. Well PRO also introduced some novelties here in the form of its own standard of internal parts while maintaining compatibility with gas-powered magazines of AK replicas manufactured by Tokyo Marui. The whole thing disassembles like a standard AK carbine, but we are still dealing with a two-part return spring guide and a trigger mechanism made of ZnAl alloy.

A certain change is the production of gas-powered magazines (currently only Green Gas variants are available, CO2 ones are planned to appear in the future) made entirely of metal. At the same time, the entire design known from the originals has been preserved.

Another element worthy of praise (both in AK-12 and PP-19/PPK-20) is the fact that the double-sided selector is quite successful and pleasant to use, similar to those in AR-15. It is possible to use it smoothly with one finger or to use the classic lever. Both of these elements work together without any problems in the replicas. The pressure adjustment in the hop-up system is possible via a knob in the magazine well window. The full-size replica also reproduces the bolt carrier with the piston and the possibility of Full Travel of the bolt after removing the buffer.

Other gas-powered novelties were the AR-15 (WE-13) replicas. Unlike most gas-powered products, the standard of parts used allows for Vega Force CompanyAR-15 standard magazines to be used. The replicas will be available in various lengths and variants made of metal or polymer.

Fans of the more classic variants with a fixed guide will be able to choose a more classic model with a regular bolt carrier and a return spring in the guide, while fans of compact designs will receive a variant with a folding skeleton stock and a short-stroke lock assembly with an internal return spring.

In both variants, both the bolt carrier and the trigger mechanisms will be made of ZnAl alloy. They also share the method of pressure adjustment in the Hop-up system via TDC and adjustment via key in the top rail and a replicated gas system.

Information was also shared about ongoing work on an AEG replica of a submachine gun modeled after the Czech Scorpion Evo, based on Strike Industries parts. The model shown in the photos is only a prototype and will most likely not be available in the near future.

In addition to gas-powered replicas, a whole range of AEG replicas that have already entered the market were also presented.
