Perun Airsoft, one of the largest manufacturers of ETU systems, has just announced its spring releases. This time, we won’t receive any less typical systems for replicas such as the M14, P90 or AUG, but instead a significantly refreshed system for replicas with the classic V2 gearbox.
The system in question is the Hybrid V2, which announced successor is the V2 Lightning model. The new product continues to use proven solutions such as optical and magnetic sensors as well as electronics; however, a new approach involves eliminating one of the more problematic components — the PCB — replacing the optical solution with a magnetic one in the form of an insert and a magnet placed on the selector plate. As the manufacturer highlights, the sensor responsible for detecting the selector position reads the magnet’s position in three axes and by default operates with three positions (SEMI/SAFE/AUTO). Will it be possible to introduce a four-position option? Time will tell.
The new Perun V2 Lightning system, alongside technical changes and improved reliability, also brings a price change—set at 259 PLN, which is lower than the previously available Hybrid V2 model. The launch of the new model also marks the official discontinuation of the Hybrid V2.
Compatibility with Clicker V2 systems in Pro and Speed variants has been retained, along with all the features of the previous model.
