AWS Special Operations Gear, has been making equipment for soldiers for almost 30 years, announced the availability of one of its most recognizable and "old" products - the 52998 STRIKE VEST/CHEST POUCH.
These vests were first made in 1982 for, as the company defines it, a "special unit".
Most of the experts know perfectly well that its was Delta Force and its characteristic black gear, which is visible in the photos of soldiers fighting in Somalia in 1993 and more recently on photographic material from the period of GWOT (Global War On Terror) and the campaign of American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The company has tried several times to terminate the production of the STRIKE VEST, but according to its relation, the demand and interest is so great that the equipment continuously remains on offer, along with modern products in more fashionable colors than black.
The vests come from the production surplus from a contract for unspecified special units. The vest has a fixed pouches layout and can hold two AN/PRC-148 MBITR radios, four STANAG magazines or eight MP5 magazines and another four pistol magazines.
The 52998 STRIKE VEST/CHEST POUCH is available in black, olive (OD) and coyote for 120.75 USD.
