The Croatian HS company XD-M Elite Precision pistol, which bears the Springfield Armory Logo, and is chambered for the 9x19 mm ammunition. Compared to the standard XD-M, a number of improvements have been introduced that are useful in dynamic sport shooting competitions.
The standard XD-M premiered in 2007 and comes in a wide range of variants adapted to the needs of the various clients and include longer or shorter barrels and grips, and thus varying magazine capacity. The calibers are also different, the Croatian/American pistol can be chambered for 9x19 mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, as well as the powerful 10 mm Auto ammunition.
The Springfield Armory XD-M Elite Precision is available in four versions. The standard one called the TSO is available only in 4.5 and 3.8 mm caliber, which only the first is strictly for sport shooting. The OSP is a pistol equipped with raised iron instruments, a barrel prepared for mounting a silencer, a mount for a microcollimator and its color was changed to tan. The 4.5 is a pistol with a shortened slide and 4.5" long barrel and, as you can probably guess, the same applies to the 3.8 version.
The Basic Elite Precision is a weapon equipped with a fiber optic front sight and a fully adjustable blacked rear sight. It is not ready for mounting a miniature collimator. In the front part of the slide there is a large notch reducing its weight. The barrel was extended to 5.25" and hence the slide is also longer. In the front and rear of it there is ribbing to facilitate reloading and changing if the gun is loaded.
The frame has not undergone any special changes. Under the barrel there is still an accessory rail for attaching the flashlight and/or a laser sight. You can still adjust the size of the grip by replacing the panels, however, the grip safety button was enlarged and a magwell was added to facilitate inserting the magazine to the grip. On both sides of the grip there are enlarged slide stops.

A completely new Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META) System trigger mechanism is installed inside the frame, with a significantly shortened pull and a straight trigger. The pistol is sold in a set with three 22-round magazines for a suggested price of 653 USD which would be a great amount for a factory made sports gun, if it was not for the import costs, customs, stores margins and similar costs. But that's how the market works.
