The IWA 2023 fair in Nuremberg (Germany) is also an opportunity to get to know the replicas before their official premiere. Thanks to the visit to the Action Sport Games booth, we had the opportunity to get acquainted with several upcoming products, such as the CZ Shadow 2 ORANGE pistol replica.
This is a development version of the standard CZ Shadow 2 pistol, where in the upcoming version, apart from the visible changes in the form of characteristic orange grips, there are other improvements. The main one is the new outer barrel, which is made of steel with even greater accuracy, resulting in a better fit. The replica will have its premiere soon.
Another replica of a pistol in the new edition that we had the pleasure to see was the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow. The new anodization of the slide allowed to obtain a Earth Dark version, where, together with simple grips, they create an impressive aesthetic impression. It's definitely more of a collector's item than a simple replica.
A new replica with a more practical character is the CZ P10C model in a version with classic sights and prepared for mounting reflex sights.
Despite the deceptively similar appearance, these replicas do not share the same slide, which in the classic version is made of polymer and is made of metal in the optics ready version. An additional distinguishing element is the external thread for accessories. There was also a replica of the Steyr L9A2 pistol (Licensed replica of the Steyr L9-A2 pistol), with dedicated sights. Instead of a standard front sight and a rear sight, ones in the form of a triangular front sight and a rear sight in the shape of an inverted V letter were used on the replica, which gives interestingly good results.
In addition to gas powered replicas, AEG platforms are also being developed, where the manufacturer draws its experience from the CZ SCORPION EVO 3 series. This allows the solutions known from this series to be used on other platforms. An example of this is the upcoming line of M4 carbine replicas, which were based on proven solutions.
The externally distinguishing element are the new M-LOK handguards, in which it is possible to mount a silencer. Contrary to appearances, the new handguard has a rather well-thought-out design, thanks to which the installation of accessories does not require disassembly of the silencer and does not interfere with them in any way. At the moment, prototypes have been presented, which indicates possible changes in the production version.
There was also the APC replica licensed from B&T (New CZ P10C, Steyr L9A2 and ACP 556 B&T Replicas Shown at Shot Show).
An interesting addition is the appearance of a gas line for GBB replicas called ULTRAAIR. Divided into 3 types, they offer different parameters: 1% silicone oil in the composition (Green Gas 135 PSI), no silicone additives (Orange Gas 164 PSI and Red Gas 178 PSI) and standard nozzles.
The manufacturer has also taken care to accurately specify the gas pressure differences at different temperatures, which allows for smooth adjustment of the appropriate power supply to the weather conditions.
