Lucid Optics is broadening its offer with a sight for modern military rifles, the P8 4X Combat Optic. The scope has an illuminated reticle and is powered by a single AAA battery. The reticle is quite unusual and has many features, which is to ensure a bread range of use. The reticle allows to make range corrections and aim at moving targets. An interesting fact is that the reticle is illuminated in blue.
The sight's housing is made of 6061 aluminum, it is waterproof (IPX8 class) and is designed to withstand g-forces when used with calibers of up to .458 SOCOM.
The P8's reticle is a natural evolution of the P7's reticle. It features a 16 MOA circle with reticle wedges, and the precise 2 MOA central dot is inside the outer circle. Similarly, additional reference dots inside the circle help to aim the shots faster.
In addition, the reticle has a tilt and elevation adjustment range of 80 MOA in each direction. Accordingly, horizontal and vertical adjustment value of ¼ MOA per click allows for fine adjustments. Using on a single AAA battery, the P8 provides 25,000 hours of operation time and has ten brightness levels with two night vision-compatible settings.
