The Timney company, probably known to all rifle users, was asked by Remington to create a new trigger for the Model 700 series, which would be uncompromising in terms of quality. Timney answered to the request and delivered.

From the beginning of July, all Remington Model 700 rifles will be equipped with Timney triggers as standard. Alpha 1 and Police models will feature the Elite Hunter trigger and all other 700 models will feature the new Impact 700 trigger.

Timney's engineers created this new trigger by cutting a single piece of steel - no cheap rolling or injection mold solutions. The triggers are hand assembled, tested and calibrated at Timney's facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

The new trigger is factory-set to 3-4 lb (non-adjustable) pull weight, or 1.3-1.8 kg, for a crisp, clean break point and features the Sear Engagement Adjustment Lock (SEAL'd).

Timney give a lifetime warranty on its triggers.
