The A/T mounts use a patented clamp that applies angular torque to provide a more secure and resistant locking of the mount to a rail. A/T mounts are also designed to be low-profile and non-snag, with a minimum number of components to reduce the risk of failure. They are made from a single piece of 7075T6 aluminum with a hard anodic coating and feature nitride coated steel alloy fittings for durability and corrosion resistance.
