Following the recent introduction of the Thunder 2.0 series, HIKMICRO, a manufacturer of night vision and thermal imaging optoelectronic devices, follows the trend and implements new solutions also in the line of Panther sights.

Panther 2.0 is a series of compact, lightweight and durable thermal imaging sights that are adapted for use with weapons generating high recoil (up to 1000 g/0.4 ms), such as the ones using .375 H&H, 12GA or 9.3x64mm caliber rounds. The devices are resistant to water in the high IP67 standard and work properly in a wide range of temperatures, ranging from -30 °C to +55 °C.

The most important change is increasing the thermal sensitivity of the device to <20 mK, while the previous series of Panther sights had a NETD of <35 mK (which is still great). In practice, this means that Panther 2.0 devices are able to detect much smaller differences in the radiation emitted by objects, which improves the visibility of details (including the surroundings) and positively affects the image quality during observations in bad weather conditions.

We wrote more about the impact of this parameter on the quality of thermal imaging in our series of guides for beginners: we encourage you to read them.

The refreshed line of Panther 2.0 includes four scopes that differ in basic specification:

The PH35L 2.0 - with 35 mm optics and 384x288 12 μm pixel sensor - offers 3x base magnification and a linear field of view of 13.1 m (at 100 meters).

The PH50L 2.0 - with 50 mm optics and 384x288 12 μm pixel sensor - offers 4.3x base magnification and a linear field of view of 9.2 m (at 100 meters).

The PQ35L 2.0 - with 35 mm optics and 640x512 pixel sensor with a size of 12 μm - offers 1.8x base magnification and linear field of view up to 22 m (at a distance of 100 meters).

The PQ50L 2.0 - with 50 mm optics and 640x512 sensor of 12 μm pixels - offers 2.6x base magnification and a linear field of view of 15.4 m (at 100 meters).

All of them are equipped with an integrated laser rangefinder module, areplaceable battery, video and audio recorder and a whole range of useful options and functions.
