Airsoft replicas most often depict popular and widely recognized firearm designs. A much smaller portion consists of less common (yet equally unusual and interesting) constructions developed over the years. A perfect example is the Heckler & Koch P7 M13 pistol, one of the early polymer-based designs from the German manufacturer. In addition to innovation in the materials used, the design also featured a highly unconventional operating mechanism, including cocking the striker by squeezing the grip and gas-delayed barrel locking.
While accurately replicating the latter solution in an airsoft replica is difficult, the remaining elements have been faithfully reproduced in the Heckler & Koch P7 M13 replica developed through a collaboration between Vega Force Company and the Umarex brand. The replica was first shown at MOA 2025, but it has recently appeared in the official product section on the Umarex website, confirming the official partnership and signaling availability in the near future.

From there we can learn that the replica will feature a metal slide, a polymer frame, muzzle energy below 1 J, a replicated grip-cocking mechanism (which also serves as the slide release), a rotary hop-up chamber adjustable from behind the chamber and accessible after removing the slide, double-stack magazines with a capacity of 16 BBs, and a fixed inner barrel.

No information regarding availability has been provided so far, but the product will almost certainly be showcased at the upcoming IWA 2026 trade show in Nuremberg.
